Comes with gift box

Just like the name ‘Old No. 7,’ the history of our label is a bit of a mystery. Some say we chose the color to mourn Mr. Jack’s death; others don't think we chose it for any reason at all. We may never know for sure, but we are certain this label was one of the very first times it was predominantly black.

Our second bottling in the Jack Daniel's Legacy Edition Series is a return to one of the first instances of Jack's iconic black label. It's a symbol of our enduring spirit, an ode to Mr. Jack's color of choice and, well, just a good bottle of whiskey. So enjoy a sip or two of Jack Daniel's history.

Is Jack Daniels Legacy 2 the right bottle to buy?

Was the black label chosen to mourn Mr. Jack's death, or for no reason at all? Nobody knows for sure, but this second bottling in the Legacy Edition Series returns to one of the very first times the Jack Daniel's label was predominantly black. The Jack Daniels Legacy 2 in this 1L size is bottled at 43% ABV, a little stronger than standard Old No. 7, and comes with a gift box, which makes it a handsome present for collectors and anyone who loves a good whiskey story. Inside is charcoal-mellowed Tennessee whiskey with the familiar smooth Jack character. Enjoy a sip or two neat or over ice, and pair it with Legacy Edition 3 to continue the series.
