Nose : rich, deep. The beautifully oxidative and rancio first nose (mango, orange, apricot) is also floral (iris, lily), chocolatey, nobly woody and spicy (saffron, new oak). Allowed to breathe, various jams and jellies (apple, peach, quince) underscore the aroma palette’s generosity. Palate : lively, resolute. The attack not only combines chocolate, ginger, cinnamon and candied citrus fruit (lemon, orange) but is also rich (almond pastry, pistachio cake). On the retro-nasal olfaction, toffee, cardamom pod, cocoa powder and citrus fruit zest spread across the sides of the palate.
