Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Strength Full Bodied & Robust #4 Tennessee Whiskey 700mL

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Strength Full Bodied & Robust #4 Tennessee Whiskey 700mL for sale: about this bottle

It’s whiskey as nature intended it, bottled straight from the barrel at its full proof. Intense, smooth, and remarkably varied, Barrel Proof is bottled at anywhere from 125 to 140-proof, taking Jack’s trademark vanilla and toasted oak flavours to bold new levels.

An exclusive bottling for La Maison Du Whisky.

This version named Full-Bodied & Robust shows Jack Daniel’s in a particularly heady and powerful light. Chilli, burnt wood, enveloping floral fragrances, a magnificent chocolate bitterness and notes of coal are the ingredients in a palette of aromas and flavours that also showcases the spirit’s sharp character.

Tasting Notes:

Nose : concentrated, powerful. Very hot (Espelette pepper, paprika), chocolatey and fruity (blood orange) and at the same time reproducing the aromas of an unctuous and cereal (maize) spirit, the first nose is voluptuous. Fans will also appreciate the notes of slightly burnt apricot tart found in the aroma palette. Others will be inspired by the superbly authentic powdery, waxy and floral notes (lavender, iris butter).

Appearance : deep orangey copper.

Palate : lively, heady. Picking up exactly where the nose left off, the attack brings an almost exact reproduction of iris butter. On the mid-palate, toffee, liquorice, coffee and gentian root highlight a beautifully chocolate and nobly woody bitterness. The end of the palate evokes a smooth and refreshing brown ale.

Overall : long, rich. Revealing notes of carrot cake, the start of the finish is a perfect summary of the nose and palate. The sharp end of the finish returns not only to the spirit but also to the ashy and sooty character of this iconic Tennessee whiskey. The retro-nasal olfaction takes us to the foot of the ample charcoal-filled filtration tanks. The empty glass is chocolatey (100%), spicy (ginger, cinnamon) and empyreumatic (varnish).

Why buy Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Strength Full Bodied & Robust #4 Tennessee Whiskey 700mL

Cask #4 of the Full Bodied & Robust style keeps the heat turned up. Selected as an exclusive for La Maison du Whisky, it is a single barrel Jack Daniel's bottled at full barrel strength, the way the distillery describes as whiskey as nature intended. The nose is concentrated and spicy with Espelette pepper, paprika and blood orange, backed by chocolate, a cereal richness from the corn and burnt apricot tart. Floral lavender and a waxy, powdery note keep it from being one-dimensional, while the palate adds burnt wood, chocolate bitterness and a coal-like edge. Choose it if you like your whiskey bold and are happy to add a little water. It belongs on the shelf of serious collectors. See every cask on the single barrel page.
